A child under 14 added to a parent's permit costs €30.46 per child plus €30.46 for the parent's updated permit.
Common mistakes
- Paying €70.46 when your permit will last more than a year. If you expect a permit longer than one year (for example open-ended work or family), the bollettino is €80.46.
- Paying the contribution on a conversion. Converting a still-valid permit (for example study to work) costs only €30.46 on the bollettino.
- Forgetting the €16 stamp, which you buy separately at a tabaccheria.
Why older websites say you owe €200
In 2011 the contribution was set at €80, €100 or €200. It was annulled after an EU court ruling. The current amounts have applied since June 2017.
